In its official website, Michael Todd describes itself as a “force to be reckoned with when it comes to effective exfoliation.” If you’ve tried and tested their products, then you’ll agree with this statement.
But can we just add “creative”? So far, the facial brushes we’ve reviewed come in plain colors. In some occassions, they’re even similar with other brands. That’s why when we laid our eyes upon Michael Todd’s Soniclear line, we’re impressed at the creativity. The patterns put a smile on our face… which leads us to ask…why didn’t the other companies think about that?
In this article, we’re comparing the different models of Soniclear in a neat chart. We’re also giving you what features to expect with this brand.
Soniclear Product Highlights and Features
Even at a glance, you can see that the Soniclear is well-built. Aside from its attractive exterior, here are some impressive features the Soniclear has.
LIFE™ Antimicrobial Product Protection. One of the problems related to bristled facial cleansers is mold and bacterial growth. When this happens, the microorganisms on the brushes can do more harm than good. Thanks to Soniclear’s LIFE Antimicrobrial Product Protection, the brushes stay clean and germ-free.
C-Boost Collagen Technology. The C-Boost is an optional operating mode that when chosen promises to stimulate collagen and elastin production. According to Michael Todd’s website, C-Boost Collagen Technology is clinically validated to improve the appearance of fine lines by 84%, the firmness of the skin by 70%, and the texture of the skin by 91%.
Waterproof. Unlike other brands such as the Pixnor P2016, the Soniclear is completely waterproof. You can even submerge it in water and not worry about damaging it. That said, this brand is perfect when you’re taking a shower or taking a bath in a tub.
Multiple Speed. Soniclear Petite is equipped with 3 speed settings while Soniclear Elite has 6 settings.
Timer. With the Soniclear’s auto timer, it is easier to get consistent results. You don’t have to manually keep track of time, or worse, guess. You can prevent over-use, which leads to irritation of the skin.
Inductive Charging. Just like Clarisonic’s pLink charger, the Soniclear charges via inductive charging. The charger magnetically attaches to the handle, so charging is very convenient. Plus, there’s no socket on the handle, so it does not wear or get dirty.
Appearance. As previously mentioned, Soniclear has so far the most attractive exterior of all facial brushes. They come in cool colors and patterns. Petite has 4 colors/patterns to choose from, Elite has 6, and Elite Deluxe has 8.
Brush Life Months. Some brands require that you replace their brush heads every after 3 months. For Soniclear, you have 6 months to do that.
Warranty. Soniclear’s 5-year warranty (3 years for Petite) shows that the company is confident in their product.
Comparison Chart of Soniclear by Michael Todd
There are 3 versions or models of Soniclear — Petite, Elite, and Elite Deluxe — which according to the company, are the “world’s first facial brushes to have antimicrobial protection.” On a side note, Clinique’s Sonic Brush also has an antibac feature, but one of their differences is the beautiful patterns and colors that adorn the Soniclear.
How different are the Petite, Elite, and Elite Deluxe?
Soniclear Petite has less features. For instance, instead of a 5-year warranty, you’ll get 3 years. Instead of a face + body brushes, you’ll get a face brush only. Also, it doesn’t come with a non-slip handle. Aside from those, it doesn’t have a travel case, an extension handle, and a pedi treatment head.
Soniclear Elite on the other hand has 6 speed settings, comes with a 5-year warranty, and includes face + body brushes.
Soniclear Elite Deluxe has all the features that Elite has. The difference is it comes with a pedi treatment head, an extension handle, a travel case, and a shower caddy. Elite users can also have those add-ons provided a separate purchase is made.
To make it easier for you, here’s a chart comparing the Petite, Elite, and Elite Deluxe. Note that the differences among these versions are highlighted in light grey.
